Cutter Operator
Position Summary:
The Cutter Operator is responsible for the set-up, adjustment and safe operation of all cutting equipment to prepare products to be packed, collated, or bound on Polar and Heidelberg cutters. While cutting the printed job, the Cutter Operator will ensure that each cut made meets the gang sheet specifications in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Access IMS program to determine priority jobs and set workload for the day.
- Place printed jobs on jogger to align and weigh according to job specifications.
- Align prepared batch inside cutter to select a cutting program to follow.
- Follow cutting program cutting from biggest measurement to smallest measurement.
- Monitor assigned machine during each cut to ensure adherence to specifications and make adjustments as needed to maintain specifications and operating speed.
- Troubleshoot machine problems, resolve if possible, notifying Bindery Supervisor/Plant Management.
- Replace worn cutting blades with hand tools when required.
- Keep accurate press sheet information in Log Books with dates and counts.
- Record production and operational data, such as the amount of materials processed.
- Report any and all workplace hazards to management immediately.
- Ensure all equipment, tools, and work station are in good working order and is free of any safety hazards.
- Must be available for any required overtime based on business needs.
- Must be proactive with completing other duties as assigned.
Required Experience / Qualifications:
- At least 1-year experience using Polar or Heidelberg cutting machines and general printing process.
- Ability to measure and count accurately.
- Knowledge of cutting programs on machines.
- Attention to detail.
- Good communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with supervisor and co-workers.
- Ability to safely use hand/power tools.
- Ability to multi-task with changing priorities.
- Ability to recognize safety issues & corrective actions
Physical Requirements:
- Standing/Walking (at least 75% of shift)
- Lifting up to 50 lb.
- Bending/twisting (at least 50% of shift)
Working Conditions:
- The Cutter Operator position will work in a warehouse/manufacturing environment with loud noises from machines and varying temperatures depending on the weather.

Print Machine Operator
Position Summary:
As a Machine Operator, this role is responsible for operating various machines such as but not limited to printers, automated cutters and hemming machines to produce banner products. Training will be provided but previous machine operating experience is required.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform all functions and tasks related to the processing of customer orders
- Perform any and all tasks as assigned by the supervisor or manager
- Maintain a clean & organized workstation
- Ensure daily maintenance is performed on machines and equipment
- We May need to troubleshoot basic equipment
- Other departmental tasks assigned by Supervisor

Required Experience / Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop knowledge (preferred but not mandatory)
- Ability to stand for an extended period of time while using hands and arms
- Ability to work safely with moving machinery
- Ability to read, write, and speak English with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Learn tasks quickly
- Detail-oriented with a high standard of quality and a personable, team player
- Punctual with excellence in attendance and the ability to work overtime as needed
- Candidates are required to see and differentiate colors for accuracy in inspecting the product during and after being processed
- Able to apply common sense and strategic thinking in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work with minimal supervision or direction
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to manage priorities and workflow
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
